The Heterotopic View journal accepts scientific research articles, critical reviews and opinion pieces, case reports, reviews, and translation works.
Research Article
Research articles should be prepared with a methodology that is suitable for the purpose of the research topic, resolves the problem statement, and supports the researcher's claims. In this context, the theoretical and conceptual framework of the study should be clearly defined, and the justifications for the assumptions should be presented. In the results and discussion sections, the contribution of the research to the literature, as well as the similarities and differences with other studies in the field, should be critically and originally addressed. Additionally, information about the assumptions of the research should be provided for future studies, and it should be explained how these assumptions should be addressed in new research.
Review Article
In review articles, the fundamental features of the work being reviewed should be defined, and a general perspective on the content should be provided. The author should clearly present their theory, adopting a critical and original discourse in the text to contribute to the literature. For example, when a researcher wants to prepare a book review article, it is recommended to consider the following information in their study.
- Identity of the Book (Title, place of publication, year of publication, publisher information, ISBN, etc.)
- Review (The subject area of the work, its ontological, epistemological, and/or methodological framework, chapters, purpose, target audience, language and style, contribution to the field, etc.)
- Evaluation (After providing information about the work, the researcher initiates a discussion from their theoretical perspective by addressing the dimensions given in the "review" section. In this part, different studies on the work are mentioned, and these studies are evaluated from the researcher's point of view.)
- Conclusion (The conclusion section should not merely summarize the study. It should highlight whether the work contributes to the field, its shortcomings, etc.)
